This has nothing to do with Dundee, but several years ago I purchased ownership in a time share so I could give away a week's accommodations every year when I draw a name from those who were so kind as to refer a friend, family member of co-worker to me for financial planning advice.  Clients have stayed at excellent resorts in places like Banff, Paris, Daytona and Orlando. 

In addition to the basic time share I have joined a time share exchange organization which allows members to purchase unused resort weeks for just the cost of the annual maintenance fee.  This cost is often much lower than the price of a cheap hotel in the same area but the quality is incredible.  Often the room(s) is large, has a jacuzzi tub, efficiency or full kitchen including appliances, one or more large screen TV's, tile floors, dining room table, screened porch, terrific resort etc.

$279 US. for a week in October.  Fairmont Vacation Villas at Hillside, British Columbia.  1 bedroom, sleeps 4, full kitchen.  Located in the middle of a championship golf course and beside the Columbia River, the resorts offer a wide selection of activities year 'round and an on-site recreation center. A scenic panorama surrounds the resorts. Each building's style and interior decor varies.

$279 US for one week at the Caribbean & Dream Buildings at Ocean Landing, Cocoa Beach Florida in October.  10.5 acres of oceanfront property, many apartments offer Atlantic beach views. Four tennis courts, four racquetball courts, two heated swimming pools, a whirlpool, exercise equipment, a restaurant, and a nightclub. Golf, boating, and deep-sea fishing can be enjoyed minutes away.
